Tasting Notes
In the glass the wine has pale colors of light greenish-gold. The nose is extremely aromatic and has a mélange of fruit and herbal notes – guava, freshly mowed hay, green apple, tarragon and linden flowers. In the mouth, bright flavors of green melon, elderberry, pear and kiwi are balanced by a long, full and pleasingly dry, flinty finish.
Vineyard Notes
With the 2019 harvest, we were blessed with mild, even-growing season with excellent fruit set. Generous rainfall in May and perfect yields gave us the opportunity to dial in the flavor profiles, acidity and ripeness of our individual blocks and varietals. Our inspiration was a leaner more "Sancerre-like" style to fully express our biodynamic farming and unique terroir.

Winemaker Notes
Our Sauvignon Blanc grapes are grown on richer, loamier soils for better canopy protection and distinct varietal aromas and flavors. Luna Llena, which means full moon in Spanish, is our homage to this celestial orb and its subtle effect on our biodynamically grown grapes. For this wine, which was harvest on the full moon, we exclusively used our Entav 378 Sauvignon Blanc clone which offers minerality and pleasing notes of citrus zest. To preserve its vibrant fruit flavors 2019 Luna Llena Sauvignon Blanc was stainless-steel fermented at cool temperatures with a select yeast strain to enhance sauvignon blanc aromatics. Post fermentation, the wine spent four months in neutral oak barrels with light lees contact to improve mouth feel.
Food Pairing Notes
This sauvignon blanc can be enjoyed as an aperitif and pairs beautifully with goat cheese, salads, chicken, fish and vegetarian dishes.
