Our 27-acre Cisne vineyard is located in the Alexander Valley AVA, 2 miles south of the Lyon Vineyard, on the east side of the Russian River in Cloverdale, California. Cisne is planted with Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc.
Two predominant soil types lay the earth of Cisne. The first is clay loam soil, derived from the close proximity to the Russian River and ideally suited to grow our Sauvignon Blanc. The second is a 10 acre block made of mostly volcanic loam derived from alluvial deposits from surrounding hills. With its higher content of iron oxide, this block is perfect for our Cabernet Franc.
