We recently bottled our 2014 Barrel Fermented Old Vine Sauvignon Blanc and boy are we excited.

Since 2014 was a drier year due to the drought conditions, the vines were pushed to ripen earlier and our yields were much lower than usual. But the upside is that this is that we had more concentrated fruit flavors. The 2014 Old Vines Sauvignon Blanc was fermented in barrel with some minimal lees stirring to create richness and complexity. None of the press wine was used, only free run juice, so as to preserve the delicacy and brightness of the fruit. No malolactic fermentation was allowed to preserve the wine’s crisp acidity. Our intent is to make a rich, opulent, Californian Sauvignon Blanc. We hope you enjoy and are looking forward to your feedback.
